This project for an S-turbine runner hub overhaul demonstrates this. Before a condition assessment takes place, the hub, all six blades, trunnion, transfer links, fixed levers, swivel pins, crosshead, actuator rod, stub shaft, and dismantling ring are all cleaned and inspected. Inspections include, visual, dimensional, clearances are measured, tabulations are done and calculations are made. Parts are modified and replaced as required. All seals are replaced with new ones. The components and assembled equipment go through multiple testing. There is blade actuation testing, pressure testing, static balancing, liquid penetration testing and non-destructive testing. Thus, ensuring that your equipment is more efficient and dependable than before.
