Job Description
Under partial supervision, performs the duties listed below with complete competence.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
- Maintain Inspection Records and complete inspection reports;
- Ability to read and follow work procedures and DWI’s;
- Ability to travel for an extended period of time.
Field Scope of Work:
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary equipment according to layout plans using hand tools and power tools;
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position equipment during assembly, installation, set-up, and repairs;
- Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions;
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and programmable logic controls;
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
Shop Scope of Work:
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders;
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery during set-up and repairs;
- Inspect and examine machinery to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions;
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts;
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery;
- Construct foundations for machinery or direct others to construct foundations;
- Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Good knowledge of welding:
- Mig;
- Tig;
- Stick.
